Weather Restyle – Mel // MEDIA MARMALADE

Lovely lady Mel of Media Marmalade first posted about the Libby Lace Shorts back in snowy January – admittedly it is STILL snowing in some parts of the country but we have had some short sunny springtime days amidst the rain, snow and cold so when we spotted Mel restyling her shorts on 3 different days, with 3 different spells of weather, we were super happy to see how versatile they are.

You can checkout Mel’s original posts with more pictures and outfit details here:           Media Marmalade

Snow Showers – We love how Mel has brightened a dull january day with animal prints, Faux Fur and pops of dusky pink…

Windswept – Our team often has giant knits on standby, being on the coast means the weather is usually pretty changeable, Mel has sidestepped the usual grunge look of oversized jumpers by pairing hers with lace shorts, a crisp shirt, structured accessories and an overall preppy feel.

Sunny Spell – This look is a perfect spring outfit, we love the mix of textures and classic palette of navy and cream with gold jewellery.

We also pinched this snap of Mel from her Twitter feed sporting her libby lace shorts on holiday (technically it’s cheating our weather restyle, but we like the outfit!)

How do you restyle your favourite pieces throughout the seasons?

Crown and Glory – SS13 Lookbook – Behind the Scenes

A few weeks ago hair accessories emporium Crown and Glory asked if we’d collaborate with them on a spring themed shoot – We saw the moodboard and couldn’t say no! #toomuchloveliness

The model/blogger/red hair ambassador for the shoot was gorgeous Megan of The Briar Rose we spotted these shots from behind the scenes and the shoot and had to share…

See the full post over on her site  THE BRIAR ROSE and stay tuned for the finished lookbook from the shoot!

Megan said of the shoot

“I wore a selection of pretty dresses from Sugarhill Boutique (we’re talking floaty fabrics with delicate milkshake, hot air balloon and flamingo prints – I want them all) … [I] played in a nest of tulle and got to eat plenty of sweets. Sophie’s cat, Lola, even helped out and did a spot of modeling with me!”

What’s not to love!?!

Spring Summer 2013 – Press Day

On an overcast November day we took up residence in the All Star Bowling Lanes London to create our own hot summer and showcase a preview of our 1950′s inspired Spring Summer Collection . Amongst kitsch flamingos, gold glitter and the clatter of bowling pins a select crowd of bloggers and press looked at our latest offerings while drinking frothy milkshakes, holiday cocktails and mini fast food.

Amongst the items were flamingo, milkshake, rollerskate and pineapple prints, pops of vibrant aqua, classic navy and hot pink… You can see some coverage of the event on the blogs linked below:

International Guest Blogger – The World Looks Red

We had some lovely feedback on our guest blogger Vicki last season so for AW12 we decided to take on not 1 but 3 guest bloggers from around the world to see their take on, life, style and – of course – Sugarhill!

So without further ado we are very happy to introduce the second of our guest bloggers Laura – based in ultra hip Amsterdam Laura’s blog is full of lovely images of street style and life in the city – with a vintage twist, we hope you enjoy!

When Sugarhill Boutique asked me to be their International Guest Blogger, I was super excited! I’ve been following their brand for a while and I’m obsessed with their feminine dresses and adorable animal prints.I’m Laura Gommans, I’m 23 year I live in Amsterdam and I blog over at The World Looks Red and from now on I’ll be blogging over here once in a while.
This navy Sugarhill Boutique dress is one that I wear a lot. Dresses with long sleeves are extremely practical in the winter, because you don’t have to bother in pairing them (ie covering them up) with cardigans! It has just the right length and collar and the open back are such cute details!
I took these photos when Italian Grazia asked me to style some looks with a schoolgirl theme. The color and the print reminded me of British schoolgirl uniforms, so I exaggerated that effect with cute white socks, brogues and a brown leather bag.
